The founder can be credited with the creation of the public 'Thames boat party cruise'; the shared party ticket concept with the first cruise setting sail in 1966! The name has changed from the 'Riverboat Shuffle' to the 'Riverboat Thames Disco Cruise' to the current 'London Thames Boat Party' but the same successful concept remains; a 4hr cruise, a buffet meal, a DJ and a pay bar. Ok, the price has changed too since 1966 but we still believe we offer incredible value and a party atmosphere that is unrivalled!
Since then the business has expanded into creating and organising Thames boat cruise parties for private and corporate clients. We boast the biggest fleet of London Thames Boats available for private hire. Uniquely, unlike any other Agency, the Team view all events from the point of the hirer and the boat owner, having been boat owners and hirers throughout the years. The Company also has association with Corporate Hospitality packages including Debenture tickets at Wimbledon Tennis and the quintessential Henley Royal Regatta. The latter is a firm favourite with the Boss!
The current team is fronted by Lester Barnard (MD), who's passion has been drawn to the Thames ever since his University days (sometime ago now!) He offers an unparalleled knowledge of all the boats available on the river, their advantages, disadvantages and where the value lies. He's integral in establishing new and maintaining current relationships with suppliers, customers and anyone who shows an interest in what we do. Got an innovative idea you'd like to share....he's always keen to listen or help find a solution. Always happy to be one of the team, meaning you will often hear his voice on the phone or read his email when submitting an enquiry.
